Direction der Disconto Gesellschaft,
London.
We today revɑrt jo your esteemed letter of the 25th November
in which you expressed to us your readiness, to do business with us
algo in reimbursements; at the same time you expressed the wish
for us to give you some idea about the estimated aggregate anount
of the transaction.
48 the likelyhood of these transactions depends upon the con-
ditions prevailing in the markets or Tsingtau and Europe it cannot be
ascertained beforehand to what extent we shall succeed in arranging the
business; we therefore must confine ourselves, for the time being,
to notifying you every month or every fortnight what transactions have
been concluded. In January we were ableito contract; 6 tona apricot
kernels and 153 boxes of bristles of the value of £ 3000, against which
we instructed Messrs. Eichwede & Schroeder to draw upon your bank
for our account at shipments of the goods.
We suggest that we contime, until further noticey to regu-
larly notify you of what has been concluded. Should the value of the
documents delivered prove to be higher than is convenient to you,
